HEXAGON offers two kinds of network license:
1. Licensing provision to specific user or work station (min. 2 licenses).
2. Licensing in the time-sharing manner with a license manager (min. 1 license).
Single licenses may not be installed in a network!
Node-Locked License (Restricted to Specific Work Stations)
The software is installed in a network and can be used by any number of
users, however, only by those work stations listed in the license.
Technical realisation through network addresses. This kind corresponds to
the collective license with individual work place versions. A manual is
provided for each licensed work station. The price is the same as for
collective licenses.
Named-User License (Restricted to Specific Users)
The software is installed in a network and can be used at all work
stations, however only by the persons listed in the license contract.
Technical realisation by licensing the users. Each user will receive a
manual. The price is the same as for collective licenses.

Floating License (Time Sharing Principle)
The software is installed in the network and can be used by all work
stations in the network and by all users, however the program can only be
executed at one time by as many users as there are licenses available.
Technical realisation through license manager which checks the number of
times the program is already called-up in the network (Write Right for
program directory necessary).
The floating licence price tariff is different to the network licenses
with user/computer restriction. As it is common that at least two users
share a license the price is higher than for network licenses with
user/computer restriction. The following table applies (negative rebate
means additional cost).
